The Spiral Meadow on Tour ! First Stop Flowers By Clowance

Evolve Flowers Ltd & Flowers by Clowance

We are delighted to announce the first of our collaborative workshops hosted at The Oaks, the British flowers hub that is Flowers By Clowance. James is a third generation Cornish cut flower grower and wholesaler; The Oaks is idyllically located in the heart of the Cornish flower growing and horticultural area. This workshop is an ideal opportunity to understand more about British flowers and where they can be sourced from. James has long standing relationships with around twenty specialist Cornish growers that supply beautiful British blooms throughout the year, these can be delivered to your door for a nominal delivery charge.

Helen hails from Suffolk, probably the same birthplace as John Tradescant, who was the inspiration for The Spiral Meadow installation that was displayed at The Garden Museum. Helen is based in Lincolnshire – the ‘other’ British flower growing hub in the UK and this was one of the main drivers for entering the British Flowers Week Competition. Helen will tell you all about the British Flowers Week competition and the process for designing The Spiral Meadow. There were lots of new aspects learnt along the way and she will share these with you; you never know you may be a competitor next year ?! even if you are not the competitive type and want to learn new techniques you are guaranteed to be inspired.

With Helen’s extensive experience in product development she has explored many eco packaging techniques and products and will introduce you to these products and where you can source from.

A professional photographer will be on hand to photograph the installations that are created by the group so you have some beautiful images to use on your website or to gather more business. Spaces will be limited for this very unique workshop; please don’t hesitate in getting in touch. Located in a beautiful setting, surrounded by British seasonal flowers and with Cornish hospitality this workshop is ideal for new or experienced florists alike who want to learn more about large scale and being more eco minded with their designs.
