Eco Casket Sprays - Farewell Flowers

Designing and creating tributes for families who have lost a loved one is a special privilege, flowers are personal; evoke memories and emotions unique to the individual. To be trusted with creating the final farewell flowers is a  responsibility and equally important is our commitment to being planet friendly.

We understand that families may have specific ideas about the flowers - we also understand that families maybe are not aware of the environmental impact that funeral flowers have on the planet. Today climate change is top of the agenda and everyone has an opportunity to modify their actions to reduce their impact on the Earth.

Many tributes are constructed out of floral foam and use imported flowers. We prefer to create our unique designs from scratch using natural materials and locally grown flowers. If the tribute cannot be made in this way we use bio-degradable floral foam and as many British flowers as possible.

Casket spray including handyman's carpentry tools such as spirit level, tape measure, chisel and antique wooden plane. 100% compostable. 95% British grown. Season: January

We have spent years perfecting techniques and modifying designs in order to make them as environmentally friendly as possible. Many of our designs are fully compostable, constructed completely from natural materials such as wood, moss, bamboo, willow, hessian and jute string.

We focus on using seasonal flowers, over 90% grown locally within a forty-mile radius of our Studio near Spalding in Lincolnshire with the remainder travelling from further away; Cornwall, Isles of Scilly, and Scotland.

An all white Casket spray tribute containing Norfolk grown Hydrangeas, Delphiniums and Rosemary. Lincolnshire scented stocks, pollen-free Rose lilies, Lisianthus and snapdragons. Cambridgeshire Scabious and Crocosmia seed heads with Cornish Callistemon foliage and Eucalyptus. Low carbon and compostable, the spray is made on moss.

The appearance of the overall tribute is similar to that of a design that has been constructed on floral foam but the carbon footprint is considerably less. The moss used is sustainably harvested from Norfolk woodlands; regulated and under licence. The majority of the flowers have been grown here in England.

Garden Bird watcher tribute includes hand-painted bird house and garden tools. The garden birds were handmade in England from felt and were especially commissioned and kept by the family after the service.
