FAQ’s ORDERING FLOWERS

You’ve signed up for the weekly price list YAY! and now it’s time to place an order! It’s as easy as sending an email.

Here are a few things to consider;

If you are signed up for the price list then Evolve already has all your name, address and telephone details.
We do need to know your mobile contact numbers and details of a safe place to leave flowers if out of hours…..or your business is run from a studio, farm, house, unit with no number! or your delivery address is remote or is only named and not numbered!

When does my order have to be placed? Please order by the weekend, latest Sunday morning please, this gives us time to book the product and arrange collections.

PRE-ORDERS help considerably and for some crops will ensure you are getting what you need, recommended for wedding orders large volume orders and can be a week or two in advance.

Title your email Flower order for delivery on { insert day and date }

List your flower order in stems; unless otherwise stated, ensuring that the MOQ {Minimum Order Quantity} for that flower has been achieved.

There is no total minimum order in place at this time.

Example:
Delivery: Wed 22nd April 2019
3 x 50 Tulips – any colour – for shop
30 stems Alstro -inc 10 x pale pink / growers choice
3 x Eucalyptus bunches
50 stems Ranunculus mixed

How do I know my order has been received? You will then receive an invoice detailing your order – this is confirmation – if there are any questions they will be asked on the invoice.

How do I pay? The invoice must be paid by BACS, Paypal or card payment ( by phone ) 24 hours before dispatch please.

What is the delivery charge? Mainland, next day – nationwide deliveries are calculated by ‘volumetric’ weight. 1 – 3 boxes is currently £10 delivery charge. For larger orders the delivery will be calculated on the day of dispatch. Our courier is APC Overnight (Peterborough) The delivery charge is especially calculated for ‘Highlands and Islands’. If you are located in Scotland, Ireland or Northern Ireland or any of the islands we have to calculate the delivery at the point of packing. We will provide you with an estimate and then confirm on the day of dispatch.

How are the flowers packed? Evolve tries hard to be as environmentally friendly as possible, many of our growers use recyclable packaging. We prefer to wrap the flowers in news-off-cuts paper/tissue/newspaper packing rather than sleeves to ensure they reach you in optimum condition. This prevents drying out and avoids sweating from condensation caused by temperature changes throughout the journey. We use metal ‘stay-tight’ bars to prevent the product from slipping in the box. Please handle these carefully as they can be sharp! They do the job better than any elastic or tape and are recycled/recyclable so it is the preferred method!

Do the flowers travel well dry-packed? The flowers are always hydrated before shipping (unless its a product that doesn’t need water ! Iris/Peonies/Narcissus etc) The majority of products are collected ‘on water’ – check out the posts on TRADE – Evolve Flowers Facebook closed group and see for yourself from our happy customers photos! Condition well on arrival and let the flowers get over the journey for a few hours and all is well!

The flowers arrived in a box with import details on? why? When available we may re-use a ‘recycled’ box (Boxes are crazy expensive!) so don’t be surprised if your box has another country of origin printed on the outside! It’s still 100% British grown on the inside!

I need to add to my order! Is it possible? If you need to add onto an order let us know as soon as you can, sometimes its possible, sometimes not! We order all your product direct from growers as soon as we can, that said we have some growers as neighbours so it rather depends on the product!

When will my delivery arrive? We dispatch Monday to Thursday afternoons. Your email address is logged with the courier who will advise by email of your delivery slot and your consignment number.

Can I track the delivery? Go to https://apc-overnight.com/receiving-a-parcel/tracking Enter your consignment number and postcode. Click ‘TRACK MY PARCEL’ and details will appear for your delivery, sometimes this takes two attempts!

I can see the driver is out en route – can I track more details? Yes, https://apc-overnight.com/receiving-a-parcel/tracking complete the stage above and then click PINPOINT (icon red on right side) This will detail what number delivery the driver is currently delivering and what number your delivery is.

What time will my delivery arrive? Our overnight service will arrive with you by 16:00 the next day. For extra charges they can deliver earlier. The majority of the time the deliveries have been received well before 16:00 – this really depends on your location!

I need so many flowers!! How will you deliver? Huge orders can be direct delivered by our ‘man in a van’ this enables you to receive the flowers on water ( with the correct post harvest treatment ) You will be charged the drivers day rate plus 45p per mile. This is approx £150/£200 plus fuel charge. Buckets do not need to be returned. Flowers are wrapped/boxed for protection in transit. Cardboard can be taken back to save you space. This could save you a day of unpacking and processing time, or paying extra staff – especially if you are a small team.

Will VAT be added to my order? Please note Evolve Flowers Ltd is not VAT registered at this time.

My other suppliers give credit? Evolve Flowers does not give credit terms. We like to pay the growers on time at the end of each week, they have invested so much time, energy and passion up to the point of cropping we think this is the way it should be. Thank you for kindly understanding this.

I don’t know what to order? – Mixed boxes of ‘Florists’ Choice’ are available – starting from £65 including delivery. Let us know which day you would like delivery and state your budget and we will pick the best products of the week for you.

The product was damaged in transit – how do I claim? we try to avoid any damage caused by packing by ensuring the product is well protected in the dry-packed box. If you do experience the need to claim then please notify within 12 hours of delivery.

I need something British grown that is not listed ? Drop me a line or call, often we can source it for you or recommend where to find it – there are a good number of growers in Lincolnshire and the surrounding counties and we will do our best to source what you need.
